School Breakfast Clubs Program
Foodbank Victoria, in partnership with the Victorian Government, delivers the School Breakfast Clubs Program in government schools across Victoria. Our role is to source and deliver a range of core food so schools can deliver the program, while providing information and resources to support the growth of the program within each school. The Foodbank 2015 Hunger in the Classroom Report found two-thirds of Australian teachers report having children come to school hungry or without having eaten breakfast. Commencing in 2016, the School Breakfast Clubs Program has expanded into over 1000 government schools across Victoria. In addition to breakfast foods, the School Breakfast Clubs Program also offers lunch supplies and home food packs to students who would benefit most.
